September 28th – October 2nd, 2024 is Autumn – SHUBUN (Autumn equinox)-47th KOU “Insects hole up underground.”
The 46th KOU tells that summer insects have sensed approaching signs of autumn and are already preparing to burrow into the soil.
I found a grasshopper among grasses during walking. It looked very similar color to the surroundings, so it was a little difficult to find. While I was working in the garden, a cricket and a frog appeared together ^^♪
Grasshoppers and crickets cannot survive winter. So, they lay eggs for next generation. Frogs burrow into the soil and hibernate.
