August 28th – September 1st, 2026 is Autumn – Middle of SHOSHO (Manageable heat)-47th KOU “Heat starts to die down.”
The 47th KOU notices that summer season ended and enter Autumn, and the weather is manageable and comfortable.
The daytime high was quite low at 21.4°C, yet it felt remarkably pleasant. In fact, I felt as though the heat that had been trapped in my body was finally dissipating. The plants and the earth might well have felt the same way—after all, temperatures had remained above 30°C for nearly two weeks.
This rain is caused by a stationary front known as the autumn rain front. This front forms during the seasonal transition from summer to autumn, signaling the end of summer as the 47th KOU notices.
And the autumn rain front tends to remain stationary for an extended period. The sluice gate on the agricultural irrigation canals has remained closed this morning.
